Prep & Line Cook (Daytime Hours)

We are seeking a prep and line cook to join our scratch kitchen team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a vibrant restaurant, event venue, and community-focused nonprofit dedicated to improving life through food.

We serve a cooked-from-scratch breakfast and lunch menu and provide on-site and off-site catering. We are looking for an experienced line cook for weekday and weekend shifts. Weekend availability is required.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who loves food, enjoys cooking for others, and is excited about working in a mission-driven kitchen.

Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen preferred (training available for the right candidate)

  • Interest in scratch cooking and learning about the food cycle (growing, cooking, preserving)

  • Ability to work weekends and occasional evenings for catering events

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to work independently

  • Able to take direction and coaching

  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Prep menu items (baking experience is a plus)

  • Assist with event catering

  • Line cooking during regular business hours (8:00 am–2:00 pm)

Casserole Delivery Coordinator

The coordinator will oversee the delivery and distribution of Convivium’s Community weekly casserole program. This position will consist of approximately 6 hours of work each week that can be completed remotely. The Casserole Delivery Coordinator is a contracted position with a monthly stipend of $336.00.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage casserole recipients. Collect and ensure accuracy of registration information, including door codes and phone numbers for drivers to contact if needed.

  • Create weekly routes for drivers. Add/remove recipients from the delivery routes.

  • Coordinate drivers for each week’s delivery routes. Oversee the logistics of weekly deliveries. Establish and maintain relationships with volunteer drivers.

  • Manage delivery issues as they arise. This includes driver no-shows, inclement weather, and other rare instances. Selected candidate must be available by phone on Wednesday afternoons to support delivery drivers.

  • Data entry. Input data weekly into shared Google Drive. This includes the routes, recipients, drivers, and number of casseroles for team to set aside
