OUR STORY

Convivium was founded on the idea that most of the world’s problems stems from a lack of connection— to our own health, to our neighbors and community, and to the environment. At Convivium, we hope to foster this connection — or reconnection — to those areas of our lives and we use FOOD to do it.

Why food? Because it is universal. Everyone eats!

And the ritual of eating is more than just satisfying our hunger — it involves the farmer that grew it; the soul, sun and rain that gave it life; the person who prepared it; and the people with whom we enjoy it.

Convivium’s mission is to improve life through food.

We accomplish our mission through classes, demonstrations and experiences that use food to foster connection to ourselves, our community and the environment.

These programs cover three areas of the food cycle: the production (GROW), prepartion and preservation (COOK) and the sharing and enjoyment of food (EAT).

Convivium is guided by a set of core values that help create a culture of generosity, connection and sustainability.

FOOD

We believe the food we eat, how it is grown and prepared and who we enjoy it with contribute to healthy, fulfilled lives.

COMMUNITY

We believe that a resilient community is built by prioritizing partnerships, creating spaces where people feel welcome and celebrating the strengths of all members.

SUSTAINABILITY
