Seed to Plate Hydroponics Summer Camp
August 7 @ 8:30 am - August 9 @ 10:30 am$80
Where does your food come from? What does it go through to reach your table? How can you grow your own food, have fun doing it, and help improve the health of the planet? All of these questions will be answered in this engaging and hands on experience. This camp, hosted at Convivium Urban Farmstead, will allow students to experience new ways of looking at how food is grown and prepared.
Students will be engaged in understanding what plants need to grow and how that can be provided in unique ways. Both hydroponic and aquaponic techniques will be explored, and students will assist in the creation of a small, at home hydroponics system.
For youth entering grades 6-8. Purchase tickets here.
Cost: $80 – includes all materials. *Scholarship slots are available. Please email email@example.com for more information on the scholarship application or if you are interested in contributing to sponsor a student!
Add healthy, kid-friendly lunches for $8/day. Kids are welcome to stay after camp and enjoy their lunch in Convivium’s restaurant until they are picked up.
