Cookbook Club: The Joy of Cooking

Join us for Convivium’s Cookbook Club – just like a book club, except you don’t have to read and instead you get to cook! For each session, we will be cooking (and enjoying) a meal as a group using recipes from a classic cookbook.
For this session, we will be cooking from Irma Rombauer’s classic, The Joy of Cooking – the book Julia Child called “a fundamental resource for any American cook.” The cookbook is said to have something for everyone – quick, healthy recipes made in thirty minutes or less, slow cooker meals, and recipes for how to cook creatively with leftovers. “The span of culinary information covers everything from boiling eggs to showstopping, celebratory dishes.”
Instruction, ingredients and recipes are provided – feel free to bring along a copy of the book, but it is not a requirement. For novice and experienced cooks alike.
Class Fee: $40 – includes dinner and a glass of wine. All proceeds support Convivium’s outreach efforts that provide access and education to children and families struggling with food access. PURCHASE TICKETS HERE.
