Recently Ladies Clutch group visited Convivium for an educational tour about our gardens and our mission in the community. The ladies harvested basil and made pesto! Each lady brought home a jar of pesto. Many hands make quick work. Thanks ladies for all your help! We are selling jars of Pesto for $3.75 per jar.
These are cucumelons — tiny cucumbers that look like watermelons. We grow them every year at Convivium and love to hand out samples.
We make our pesto with walnuts instead of pinenuts. Also in the recipe: our own basil, Parmesan cheese, olive oil and salt & pepper.
