Soul Food Sunday was held at Convivium Urban Farmstead on Sunday, October 15, 2017.  The Soul Food buffet was prepared by participants from the Fountain of Youth, an organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of generational poverty, along with Andy Mettert, Director of Dining Services at the University of Dubuque. The menu included fried chicken, smothered pork chops, mac ‘n cheese, greens, mashed potatoes, corn bread dressing, peach cobbler, banana pudding and more!  In addition to the tasty buffet, there was music, spoken word performance and Chicago-style ballroom stepping demonstration. Soul Food Sunday at Convivium was a joint fundraiser for the Fountain of Youth organization, Convivium Urban Farmstead and Fountain of Youth participants, who will be splitting one third of the profits among themselves. No one left hungry and everyone enjoyed the lively atmosphere!
